T-Robotics Wins Additional Order for U.S. LDES Automation Module, Cumulative Orders Reach 19 Billion Won

[Financial News] T-Robotics will supply an additional automation system for Ford Energy Battery's LDES production process in the United States. Building on its earlier supply of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR), the company is expanding its cooperation into production-process automation and accelerating its push into the North American manufacturing automation market.
T-Robotics, a company specializing in humanoid and industrial robots, said on the 1st that it had signed a contract with Ford Energy Battery to supply an automation system for LDES production processes worth about $2.63 million, or roughly 3.6 billion won.
The latest deal follows an order in May to supply AMR for LDES worth about 15 billion won. Including this additional volume, cumulative orders related to Ford's LDES business have risen to about 19 billion won.
The system to be supplied this time is equipment used in LDES production-process automation. The contract also covers installation, commissioning, control system development, and integration, in addition to the supply of related equipment. The company said this expands its supply scope from logistics automation centered on AMR to the entire production process.
There is also room for more orders. That is because automation equipment is being ordered in stages in line with Ford Energy's production facility construction schedule. T-Robotics is currently in talks over follow-up volumes and plans to pursue contracts through its U.S. subsidiary in the future.
T-Robotics has built a track record in the North American manufacturing automation market by carrying out large-scale AMR projects centered on battery production plants in the region. Based on its ability to handle the entire project from design and manufacturing to installation and commissioning, the company is expanding business with North American customers.
As the global LDES market grows, demand for automation in production facilities is also expected to increase. In response, the company plans to extend the AMR and logistics automation technologies it has secured in battery manufacturing processes to LDES production facilities, broadening its business structure from AMR-focused operations to a wider range of production and logistics automation modules.
A T-Robotics official said, "By supplying automation systems in addition to existing AMR, our cooperation with Ford Energy is expanding across production and logistics automation as a whole." The official added, "We are also discussing additional volumes now, so we expect follow-up orders to continue." The official went on to say, "We will further strengthen our response capabilities and accelerate our push into the North American LDES and manufacturing automation markets by fully scaling up orders and supply through our U.S. subsidiary in the future."
