Busan-Jinhae FEZ Authority visits logistics company Access World to discuss building supply chains for future high-tech industries

[Financial News] On the 1st, the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority visited Access World, a global raw materials logistics company located in the Ungdong hinterland complex in Jinhae-gu, Changwon-si, to hear about its operations and future business plans and inspect the logistics center.
That day, Park Sung-ho and other officials from the authority met with company representatives, including CEO Hong Sung-joong of Access World, and exchanged views on major issues and difficulties related to the company’s operations. 
Access World is the Korean subsidiary of Access World Group, a global raw materials logistics company headquartered in Switzerland, and moved into the Ungdong hinterland complex in 2020. Based on a site of about 50,000 square meters, it operates a logistics center and provides storage and international logistics services for a wide range of raw materials, including metals and minerals, battery materials, plastic feedstocks and coffee, using Busan New Port as its hub.
Beyond simple storage, it offers customized value-added logistics services, or VAS, such as packing and repacking, labeling, sampling, weighing and quality control. It also has a differentiated edge by providing specialized storage and management services for international raw materials based on a warehouse approved by the London Metal Exchange (LME).
Using its global network and the port infrastructure of Busan New Port, the company connects international raw material supply chains. More recently, it has been expanding into new logistics services and business areas to meet demand for raw material logistics related to future industries such as battery materials, further strengthening its growth foundation.
Park said, "Access World is a key base in the global raw materials supply chain and a flagship logistics company in the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone," adding, "The authority will continue to actively listen to voices from the field and provide the support needed for stable business operations and growth."
