SK Telecom's 'Air' Surpasses 200,000 Members... Launches One-Year YouTube Subscription Promotion

[Financial News] SK Telecom's SIM-only mobile service Air has surpassed 200,000 members since its launch. To mark the milestone, SK Telecom is offering a one-year free subscription to YouTube Premium Lite for customers who sign up for the Air X plan.
SK Telecom said on the 1st that customers who newly subscribe to the Air X plan through the Air official app and website by Feb. 28 next year will receive YouTube Premium Lite free of charge for one year after activation.
Air X is a plan that offers unlimited data for 58,000 won per month. New subscribers during the promotion period will receive the free YouTube Premium Lite benefit as well as bonus pack points. The points can be used to pay mobile bills or purchase more than 1,000 items at the Air app point shop.
In particular, Air X subscribers will be able to pay their full monthly fee with points through December. SK Telecom said that, when the YouTube Premium Lite benefit is included, the unlimited data plan can effectively be used for around 10,000 won per month.
SK Telecom is also expanding the range of point usage to ease the burden of mobile costs for Air users. In June, it revised its point-based mobile bill payment system. Previously, customers could use points to pay up to 5,000 won per month, but points earned through ad-based missions can now be used to pay bills beyond the previous limit.
