Two elderly people missing after heavy rain in North Jeolla Province found dead

[Jeonju, Financial News = Reporter Kang In] Two elderly people who went missing during heavy rain and were being searched for have been found dead.
According to the North Jeolla Special Self-Governing Province Fire Headquarters on the 1st, A, a man in his 70s, was found dead at around 10:40 a.m. in a stream in Buk-myeon, Jeongeup-si.
A is believed to have been caught in the rain while visiting a rice paddy the previous morning. He was found about 4 kilometers from the location where he was reported missing.
At the time of his disappearance, a heavy rain warning was in effect in Jeongeup, and 157.2 mm of rain fell. Police and firefighters, who received the missing-person report, had continued the search.
A man in his 60s who went missing in Gochang County was also found dead.
At around 6:50 a.m. that day, B, a man in his 60s, was found dead in a stream in Buan-myeon, Gochang County.
B lost contact after going to a vinyl greenhouse the previous afternoon. At the time, a heavy rain warning was in place in Gochang, and 187.5 mm of rain fell.
Police and firefighters expanded the search area from the point where the missing reports were filed.
Police said they have found no signs that either man was involved in a crime and are investigating the exact cause of death.
