[Financial News] Seoul Housing & Urban Development Corporation (SH Corporation) is teaming up with the Korea Association of Realtors to expand the supply of lease-type rental housing and help stabilize housing for Seoul residents.
SH said on the 1st that it signed a memorandum of understanding with the Korea Association of Realtors on the 31st to promote the supply of Public Rental Housing on a Deposit Basis and Long-term Secure Housing, as well as to support brokerage services.
The agreement was driven by rising demand for lease-type rental housing amid a recent shortage of jeonse listings and higher prices. The two sides aim to secure practical housing support listings through public-private cooperation.
The two organizations agreed to cooperate on finding eligible listings and supporting brokerage for Public Rental Housing on a Deposit Basis and Long-term Secure Housing, promoting the rental housing programs and expanding participation by member brokers, and creating a safe and transparent rental transaction environment.
To that end, SH will share detailed information such as housing supply plans and support criteria. The association plans to actively use its website and member network to promote the programs and help identify suitable listings.
Hwang Sang-ha, president of SH, said, "Through this agreement, we have established a solid foundation for cooperation with the private brokerage sector." He added, "We will make a real contribution to housing stability for Seoul residents by securing quality listings that can be used for lease-type rental housing more reliably."
