'Technology Protection Support Policies in One Place' KOFCA to Hold Training Briefing in Chuncheon on the 3rd

[Financial News] A venue will be set up where technology protection systems and support policies, which are distributed across ministries, can be checked in one place.
According to KOFCA on the 1st, the '4th Interministerial Training Briefing on Technology Protection for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in 2026' will be held on the 3rd at Chuncheon Bears Hotel in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province.
The event was designed so that technology protection systems and support policies spread across the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the National Police Agency, the Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC), the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and the Ministry of Intellectual Property can be reviewed in one place.
It is the fourth joint briefing by relevant ministries this year, following events in Daejeon and Gwangju, and another session is planned for Seoul in November.
The five ministries will introduce support programs to strengthen the technology protection capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises and present cases of industrial technology leak prevention and investigations. They will also explain remedies and support systems related to subcontracting technology misuse, as well as procedures for relief in the event of infringement.
Free on-site consultations with technology protection experts will also be offered. The plan is to help small and medium-sized enterprises resolve difficulties through consultations with experts in security and legal affairs.
An official from KOFCA said, "Technology leaks and theft can deal a blow to small and medium-sized enterprises that is difficult to recover from once it happens, but even advance preparation and an early response can significantly reduce damage." The official added, "We will continue to provide field-based support, visiting local regions and working with relevant ministries so that small and medium-sized enterprises can protect their technology with confidence."
