KOSME to Support Costs for SME Credit and Technology Evaluations, Partners with NICE Information Service

[Financial News] The Korea SMEs and Startups Agency is joining hands with NICE Information Service Co., Ltd. to improve small and medium-sized enterprises' access to corporate credit and technology evaluations and support their entry into the public procurement market.
According to KOSME on the 1st, under the agreement, NICE Information Service Co., Ltd. will provide corporate credit evaluations for submission to public institutions at 50,000 won for the first time only to companies enrolled in the Youth Startup Academy and to SMEs within one year after receiving KOSME policy fund loans.
The fee is up to 90% lower than the regular price, depending on the type of company. For companies that have graduated from the Youth Startup Academy, the fee will be discounted by 50%.
The cost of technology evaluations, which assess a company's technological capability and business potential, will also be reduced.
Companies enrolled in or graduated from the Youth Startup Academy, as well as firms supported by KOSME policy funds, can receive discounts of 17% to 40% on NICE Information Service Co., Ltd.'s public R&D technology evaluation, investment technology evaluation, and technology valuation services.
The two organizations will also offer practical training for companies enrolled in or graduated from the Youth Startup Academy on corporate credit evaluation procedures and how to use them, credit management precautions, and bidding for public institutions.
They also plan to jointly promote support programs for small and startup companies and identify areas for cooperation in SME support.
Cho Han-gyo, Executive Director for Human Resources and Growth at KOSME, said, "Corporate credit evaluation and technology evaluation are important foundations for small and startup companies to enter the public procurement market and the investment market." He added, "We will actively support market expansion and follow-up growth by reducing the burden of evaluation costs and strengthening companies' ability to use credit and technology evaluations."
