Gangwon State Announces 1,007 Final Passers in Second Civil Servant Recruitment Exam

[Financial News, Chuncheon = Kim Gi-seop] Gangwon State has selected 1,007 final passers in the second half civil servant recruitment exam.
According to Gangwon State on the 1st, the final results for 1,007 successful candidates in the 2026 second civil servant recruitment exam were announced on the provincial website that day. The exam assessed candidates' suitability for public service through the written test held on June 20 and interviews conducted in July and August.
By job category, the administrative track accounted for the largest share with 675 people, or 67.03%, while the technical track had 332 people, or 32.97%. By gender, 514 men (51.04%) and 493 women (48.96%) were selected, showing a balanced result. Under the gender equality hiring target system, which adds candidates of the underrepresented gender when they make up less than 30% of the planned positions, two additional candidates were accepted, including one man in the nursing track and one woman in the general civil engineering track.
By age group, those aged 26 to 30 made up the largest share with 430 people, or 42.7%. They were followed by 223 people aged 25 or younger (22.1%), 208 people aged 31 to 35 (20.7%), 74 people aged 36 to 40 (7.3%), and 72 people aged 41 or older (7.1%). The youngest successful candidate was 18, while the oldest was 55, reflecting a wide range of ages entering public service.
Final passers must complete candidate registration with the institution where they are expected to be appointed during the period specified in the notice. Those who fail to register within the deadline will be treated as having given up their appointment.
