Korea Federation of Banks Names Former BC Card Vice President Woo Sang-hyun as Executive Director

[Financial News] The Korea Federation of Banks (KFB) said it appointed former BC Card Vice President Woo Sang-hyun as executive director on the first day of the month, following approval at a general meeting of members.
Woo graduated from Dongnae High School in Busan and the economics department at Seoul National University. He entered public service in 1989 after passing the 33rd Higher Civil Service Examination and worked at the former Ministry of Planning and Budget and the Financial Services Commission (FSC).
He left the civil service in 2015 after serving as director of the FSC's secretariat and later worked at Hyundai Capital Services and Hyundai Card. From 2022 through this year, he served as vice president of BC Card.
Meanwhile, a successor to auditor Bae Joon-seok, whose term ended in July, has not yet been decided. It is reported that candidates other than former executives from the Bank of Korea (BOK) are also being considered.
