[Financial News] The Korea Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association (KOCEMA) will host the country's largest construction machinery exhibition next year.
The association said on the 1st that it will hold the Korean International Construction Equipment Exhibition at Hall 1 of KINTEX in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, from Nov. 4 to 7 next year. First launched in 1996, it has become the country's only construction machinery exhibition and will be held for the 13th time next year.
The main draw of next year's exhibition will be AI. Under the slogan "Intelligent Transformation," construction technology solutions that combine AX, or AI transformation, with intelligent robotics technology are set to be unveiled. These are construction machines that can make decisions and move on their own to maximize productivity and safety based on site and equipment data.
As an extension of that vision for intelligent construction technology solutions, exhibitions on advanced mobility such as robots and drones will also be held. KOCEMA expects the event to create a venue for convergence business by encouraging exchanges between smart construction machinery and the future mobility industry.
The exhibition aims to attract 310 participating companies and 25,000 visitors. Those figures have continued to rise with each edition, and organizers are aiming for the largest event ever this time. The number of participating companies rose from 162 in 2021 to 272 in 2024, while visitor numbers increased from 12,886 to 22,157 over the same period.
