Samsung Electronics to Take Part in 'Design Miami Seoul 2026'... Blending Art and Technology with OLED TVs

[Financial News] Samsung Electronics will present an exhibition created in collaboration with Korean artists at the global design event Design Miami Seoul 2026.
According to industry sources on the 1st, Samsung Electronics said it will take part in Design Miami Seoul, which runs from today through the 6th at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul.
This year's exhibition theme is "Design is an Expression of Love." Samsung Electronics plans to present its human-centered design vision, which begins with understanding and caring for people.
The exhibition will feature works by 14 Korean artist teams that reinterpreted Samsung Electronics products using artificial intelligence (AI) and a range of creative methods. The artists transformed 14 products, including Music Studio 5, Bespoke AI Family Hub, and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, into new images and stories that reflect their own experiences and emotions.
These works will be displayed through Samsung Electronics' 2026 flagship OLED TV, the SH95, along with 14 custom frames made from different materials and in different forms. Rather than simply showcasing product functions, the exhibition expands the TV into a design object that expresses personal taste and individuality.
The SH95 features a "float layer design" that makes the screen appear to hover above a metal plate. Moving beyond conventional TV designs that minimize the screen border, it uses the product's structure and materials themselves as sculptural elements.
At the design talk on the 3rd, Mauro Porcini, chief design officer of Samsung Electronics' DX Division, will introduce the company's design vision.
Porcini said, "'Design is an expression of love' is our principle that design begins with a deep understanding of people." He added, "Creativity starts with people, and AI helps amplify imagination so ideas can develop further." He continued, "We will continue to create new possibilities through a variety of human-centered design approaches."
