Preliminary Round for International Robot Competition to Be Held in Busan... Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education to Host Event in November

[Financial News] Young robotics hopefuls from across the country will gather in Busan.
The Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education said on the 1st that it will hold the "2027 Robot National Qualifiers" on November 28 at the Busan Port International Exhibition & Convention Center (BPEX) to help students build key future competencies and give them hands-on experience competing on the world stage.
The event is the official qualifying round for South Korea, and the prize is a spot in the "2027 Robofest World Championship," which will be held in Korea next year.
Any elementary, middle, or high school student nationwide can participate free of charge. The top team in each category will receive a berth in the competition, along with more than three customized consulting sessions.
Robofest is an international youth robotics competition that began in 1999 at Lawrence Technological University in the United States. So far, more than 38,700 students from 39 countries have taken part. Next year's World Championship in Korea will be the first ever held outside the United States.
Applications will be accepted on the dedicated website from today through the 16th of next month.
Recruitment will be divided into two divisions: the junior division for fifth graders through second-year middle school students, and the senior division for third-year middle school students through second-year high school students. Participating teams will compete in eight events, including games, exhibitions, and the Unknown Mission Challenge, to showcase the skills they have honed.
