KT expands data on its 'Together Roaming' plan to up to 20GB, launches new 40GB option

[Financial News] KT Corporation is expanding the data allowance of its roaming plans to make mobile data use more convenient for customers traveling overseas.
KT Corporation said on the 1st that it will revamp its roaming lineup by increasing the data allowance for its 'Together Roaming' plan to as much as 20GB and launching a new high-capacity 'All-Day Roaming' plan with 40GB.
The Together Roaming plan lets users share data with family and friends. The 33,000-won plan, which previously offered 4GB, will now provide 5GB. The 44,000-won plan will increase from 8GB to 10GB, while the 66,000-won plan will rise from 12GB to 20GB.
KT Corporation will also expand data allowances for its 'Y Together Roaming' plan for subscribers aged 34 and under. The Y Together Roaming plan offers a 40% discount compared with the regular Together Roaming plan and includes an extra 1GB of data.
The usage period will also be extended. The 33,000-won Together Roaming plan and the 19,800-won Y Together Roaming plan will be available for 30 days, up from the previous 15 days.
KT Corporation has also launched a 77,000-won Together Roaming 40GB plan for subscribers who need larger data allowances.
Data benefits for the 'All-Day Roaming Basic' and 'All-Day Roaming Plus' plans will also be expanded. The daily data allowance for the All-Day Roaming Basic line will double from 500MB to 1GB, while the All-Day Roaming Plus line will increase from 1GB to 2GB.
In addition, KT Corporation offers partner benefits for roaming subscribers, including a 10,000-won discount at lounges at Incheon International Airport and Gimpo International Airport, as well as Grab partnership discounts for travelers to Southeast Asia.
Kang I-hwan, executive vice president and head of the Customer Service Headquarters at KT's Customer Division, said, "We will continue to introduce differentiated roaming services that reflect customer usage patterns and further improve customer satisfaction."
