[Financial News] A small business owner has shared a story about customers who ate bibim naengmyeon they brought from outside before even placing an order at a cafe.
On July 31, JTBC's Scandal Supervisor featured the story of a man identified as A, who said he runs a cafe.
According to A, three customers recently visited the cafe he operates. As soon as they came in, they did not order anything and instead took out bottled drinks that appeared to have been brought from outside and started drinking them. Then one of them pulled out a food container and began eating bibim naengmyeon.
A said, "I heard a slurping sound, so I looked over and saw the customer eating noodles. They had not been in the shop for long, but it seemed like they started eating right away after arriving. They had already finished bottled drinks such as cider and energy drinks," he recalled.
The scene was fully captured on the store's closed-circuit television (CCTV).
A went to the table and told the customers that they were not allowed to eat outside food in the cafe, adding that they needed to order at least one drink per person. He claimed that only then did they place drink orders.
At the time, the cafe had signs posted that said things like "One drink per person required."
A said, "I open and close the shop by myself, so it's hard to control everything. I hope customers will follow the guidelines."
