[Financial News, Andong = Kim Jang-wook] "This year’s Chuseok gifts are at the online agricultural and specialty products shopping mall, Saiso!"
Ahead of Chuseok, the Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Government will hold a range of special events on Saiso throughout September.
Under the theme of "easy to find, easy to choose, and easy to save on Chuseok shopping," Saiso has prepared a special promotion.
Park Chan-guk, director of the Agricultural and Livestock Distribution Bureau, said the event was designed so that consumers preparing Chuseok gifts would not have to struggle comparing prices and items, but could instead easily and enjoyably find quality Gyeongsangbuk-do products that fit their tastes and budgets. He added that the government hopes many people will use Saiso so that holiday gifts given to family and acquaintances can also help raise the income of farmers in Gyeongsangbuk-do.
The Saiso Chuseok gift set promotion brings together holiday gift items in one place. Category filters for each product make it easy to find the items customers want.
In particular, the promotion focuses on products that participating companies have discounted by at least 10 percent on their own, allowing shoppers to choose practical holiday gifts.
Saiso will also run the "Gyeongbuk Jooansang" promotion throughout September. It will showcase traditional Gyeongbuk liquors alongside suitable side dishes, offering more than simple product sales and creating a special shopping experience that brings "the taste of Gyeongbuk to one table." Customers who buy traditional liquor and side dishes together can receive up to 30 percent off the side dish items, making it a good option for preparing a special table to enjoy with family and relatives during the Chuseok holiday.
The "Saiso Chuseok Discount Coupon" has also been introduced. Depending on the purchase amount, shoppers can receive discounts of up to 20 percent. The coupon discount limits and usage frequency vary, allowing consumers to enjoy the benefits multiple times during the event period.
Meanwhile, according to the provincial government, sales in the first half of this year reached 24.9 billion won, up 8.3 percent from a year earlier. Membership also rose to 325,000 as of June, a 19 percent increase from a year ago. Both sales and membership were reported as the highest ever.
