JDC Recognized for Human Rights Management and ESG Public Value, Wins Two Awards from Korean Association for Local Government Studies

[Financial News Jeju = Jung Yong-bok] Jeju Free International City Development Center (JDC) has won a series of awards in the fields of human rights management, regional coexistence and social value.
According to JDC on the 1st, it received the top prize and an excellence award, respectively, at the 2026 Korea Human Rights Management Award and the 2026 Korea Local Autonomy Award, both hosted by the Korean Association for Local Government Studies on Aug. 27-28.
At the Human Rights Management Award, it won the top prize in the public enterprise category. The award was established to identify best practices in human rights management among institutions and companies and to promote a culture of respect for human rights within organizations.
JDC was recognized for building a management system based on respect for human rights and for reflecting the protection of human rights for employees, business partners and other stakeholders in its management process.

It then received an excellence award in the ESG and public value category at the Local Autonomy Award. The category focuses on public institutions' social responsibility and their contributions to local communities among the three ESG pillars: environmental, social and governance.
JDC was recognized for its efforts to create jobs for vulnerable groups, revitalize local communities and support the growth of future talent. Its sustainable management and social value creation efforts linked to the local community were also reflected in the evaluation.
With these awards, JDC was recognized both for its internal management system, which places human rights at the center of its operations, and for its external social contribution efforts in Jeju Province, including support for jobs, communities and talent development.
Song Seok-eon, chairman of JDC, said, "These awards are the result of our continued efforts to respect people in management and to grow together with Jeju Province." He added, "We will reflect the values of human rights and coexistence throughout our management and become a public institution that grows with Jeju by creating results that residents can feel."
