[Financial News] A man and woman believed to be an engaged couple have drawn criticism after taking wedding photos while blocking a lane inside Seoul's Namsan 3rd Tunnel.
On the 31st, photos showing the couple taking wedding pictures inside the Namsan 3rd Tunnel spread across online communities and social media.
The person who posted the photos, identified as A, claimed that he saw the couple blocking one lane of the tunnel and taking wedding photos on the morning of the 25th.
In the released images, a white car was parked in one lane of the two-lane tunnel, with a traffic cone placed behind it to restrict vehicle movement. A woman in a white dress and a man in a black suit were standing near the tunnel wall.
A said, "I thought there had been an accident because there was a cone set up, but they had parked there for filming and were taking pictures."
He added, "They really found each other," and criticized them by saying, "Stay together for life, and don't have kids."
He also raised the possibility that they had not obtained a separate permit to use the road for filming, and suggested they may have violated the Road Act and the Road Traffic Act.
Under Article 114 of the Road Act, those who occupy a road and block a lane with filming equipment or personnel without official permission from the local government or police may face up to two years in prison or a fine of up to 20 million won.
Under the Road Traffic Act, stopping or parking inside a tunnel is prohibited, so even a vehicle left there for filming could be fined. Standing on the road or placing objects in a way that obstructs traffic is also subject to fines or penalties.
Internet users who saw the story reacted with comments such as, "How selfish do you have to be to do something like that just to get one wedding photo?" "The studio filming them is also at fault," and "As expected, people like that always end up together."
