President Lee Congratulates Publication of Biography of Roh Moo-hyun: "A World Where People Live Is Still Ongoing"

He added, "I hope this biography will offer a new opportunity for reflection to those who remember President Roh, and a valuable chance for a generation that did not know him well to encounter his life and era anew."
In a Facebook post that day, Lee wrote, "To reread a person's life is also to meet again the thoughts and dreams they left behind. As I open this biography, I too am reminded once more of the path President Roh Moo-hyun walked and the meaning he left us."
Lee said, "Most memories fade with time. But some become clearer as time passes." He added, "For me, the three syllables 'Roh Moo-hyun' are like that."
He continued, "Even though many years have passed, the absence of the President still does not feel familiar. Before I became president, I looked at the path he had walked." He said, "Now that I stand on that path, the anguish, solitude, and weight of his decisions embedded in every line feel very different, with a resonance and gravity unlike before. That is why rereading President Roh Moo-hyun is even more meaningful."
Lee also said, "'A world where people live.' That dream the President held throughout his life remains an ongoing task for us." He added, "Remembering Roh Moo-hyun is not merely about reminiscing about the past. It is about confronting the questions he raised in today's reality and seeking answers for our time."
He further noted, "We must uphold principles while staying grounded in reality, and we must not stop at good intentions or slogans. We need to find answers that truly change people's lives." He added, "Only by moving forward step by step like that can we come closer to the Republic of Korea we dream of."
