[Financial News] ONE store is moving to expand into the global app market. It will launch its own app marketplace in 122 countries and broaden its consumer direct sales payment platform, which helps developers improve profitability, to seven countries.
ONE store announced on the 31st that it has officially launched ONE store Global and its D2C payment platform, ONE Shop, in overseas markets.
ONE store Global will begin service simultaneously in 122 countries across North America, Latin America and Asia. At launch, it secured more than 1,000 titles and will also offer content that has been difficult to distribute through existing app stores, including AI- and blockchain-based games.
The company highlighted its active distribution of AI and blockchain games as a key differentiator. ONE store Global applies the same review standards to apps that include virtual assets or tokens as it does to ordinary content, and it does not restrict the type of blockchain or digital wallet used.
Developers can launch a game in all 122 countries at once with just a single global build. ONE store said this will also reduce the burden of country-specific development and operations.
The company will also roll out AI Games, a service that curates games made with AI, to global users in September. Creators will be able to run games built with AI directly on ONE store Global without downloading a separate app. ONE store plans to expand AI Games, which it launched in South Korea in August, into overseas markets.
The launch lineup also includes Frost Kingdom, which recently ranked No. 1 in popularity on South Korea's two major app stores. Users can purchase content using credit cards and other payment methods widely used in each country.
Along with ONE store Global, the company also introduced its D2C payment platform, ONE Shop. ONE Shop integrates ONE store's One Web Shop and Nexxus's Cross Shop into a single platform. In addition to South Korea, it will be available in seven countries, adding the United States, Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines.
ONE Shop focuses on improving developers' profitability by charging only a 5% fee, excluding payment processing charges. Developers can adopt ONE Shop without building a separate version, as it uses ONE store's existing in-app payment integration standard. It is also possible to operate app distribution and web payments at the same time.
The company is also introducing a new 'site builder' feature that lets developers design their ONE Shop sales pages directly. They can set product display methods, banner order, background colors and images on their own, allowing them to tailor operations to each game's brand identity.
ONE store plans to continue expanding its service countries, ONE Shop support regions and content lineup. Jang Hyun-guk, CEO of Nexxus, said, "We will ensure that the innovations taking place in AI and blockchain are carried through directly into game content and platforms."
