Soop to livestream Belgium's 3-Cushion World Cup, with top Korean billiards stars in action

Soop said it will livestream all matches of the 2026 Lier 3-Cushion World Cup, which will be held in Lier, Belgium, from the 31st to the 6th of next month. The tournament, organized and hosted by the Union Mondiale de Billard (UMB), will feature world-class players competing for the title.
Korea will be represented by players who have long performed on the international stage, including Myung Woo Cho, Kim Haeng-jik and Jung Han Heo. At last year's World Cup in Antwerp, Belgium, Cho and Kim both reached the quarterfinals among 10 Korean players. Attention is now turning to how Korean players will fare in Lier this year.
The performances of rising players who have recently shown strong progress at home and abroad will also be a point of interest. Eighteen-year-old Kim Do-hyun won the 5th Incheon Metropolitan City Mayor's Cup National Billiards Tournament in July, setting a record as the youngest champion ever. Kim Min Suk advanced through the qualifiers to the round of 32 at the 2026 Porto 3-Cushion World Cup, proving his competitiveness on the international stage.
Competition from Belgian players, who will have the support of home fans, is another storyline to watch. Eddy Merckx, who won the Porto World Cup, will try to claim back-to-back World Cup titles on home soil. Belgian players with extensive international experience, including Frédéric Caudron and Roland Forthomme, are also expected to take part in a fierce contest.
At last year's Antwerp World Cup, Martin Horn of Germany defeated Taifun Tasdemir of Turkey to win the title. The 77th World 3-Cushion Championship was also held in Belgium, underscoring the country's status as a major stage for the world's top 3-cushion players.
