Megazone teams up with Hanmi Science to target pharma and healthcare AX business

[Financial News] Megazone, the parent company of AI and cloud specialist Megazone Cloud, is joining forces with Hanmi Science to target the artificial intelligence-based business innovation (AX) market in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
Megazone and Hanmi Science said on the 31st that they signed a business agreement on the 26th at Hanmi Group headquarters in Songpa District, Seoul, and decided to cooperate on AI-driven innovation.
Under the agreement, the two companies will jointly pursue tasks such as identifying AX-based work innovation projects, strengthening AX capabilities, and advancing AI and digital innovation initiatives. In particular, they plan to co-develop AI services tailored to the specific work processes of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, rather than simply applying general-purpose AI technology to operations.
They also plan to form a working-level consultative body in the future to identify specific cooperation projects and review implementation plans. The partnership will be expanded step by step, along with efforts to enhance services.
Hanmi Science has recently been laying the groundwork for AX by running the "Hanmi AI Boost Program" across all of its affiliates, including Hanmi Pharmaceutical, to spread a culture of AI use.
Megazone CEO Jang Ji-hwang said, "To create tangible business results with AI, technology alone is not enough. A deep understanding of the industry and the work itself must also come together." He added, "By combining Hanmi Science's expertise in pharmaceuticals and healthcare with Megazone's experience and capabilities in cloud- and AI-based work innovation, we will build a business model that can create new value."
Hanmi Science CEO Kim Jae-gyo said, "AI is no longer just a tool for improving work efficiency. It has become a core technology that determines corporate competitiveness." He added, "Through this agreement, we will expand AX-based work innovation across Hanmi Group and build a digital work environment that allows employees to work more efficiently."
