Korean Air and Asiana Airlines, Ahead of Their Merger, Connect Through Joint Volunteer Education Activities

[Financial News] Korean Air and Asiana Airlines held career lectures for elementary and middle school students. The effort was part of their push to strengthen communication by carrying out joint social contribution activities ahead of the launch of the integrated Korean Air.
The two companies said on the 31st that their educational volunteer group held a special lecture on aviation industry jobs at Yangcheon Public Library in Yangcheon District, Seoul, on the 29th for about 50 elementary and middle school students.
A Korean Air mechanic and an Asiana Airlines cabin crew member from the volunteer group served as speakers. They shared their on-the-job experience and offered guidance for career planning.
The volunteer group also supported safety experience activities for local children on the 28th. The participating children learned bicycle and kickboard safety rules, as well as public transportation etiquette, at the Magok Safety Experience Center in Gangseo District. They also practiced safety-related activities such as emergency evacuation and learned how to respond to disasters including earthquakes, typhoons, and fires, along with how to use a fire extinguisher.
A Korean Air official said, "Ahead of the launch of the integrated Korean Air in December this year, employees from both companies are continuing voluntary exchanges and putting the value of sharing into practice." The official added, "The joint social contribution activities are helping bring warmth to local communities while also serving as an opportunity to strengthen harmony and communication between the two companies."
