Fubon Hyundai Life Insurance Builds Employees' AI Capabilities with Hands-on 'Vibe Coding' Training

[Financial News] Fubon Hyundai Life Insurance has launched employee training aimed at applying generative artificial intelligence (AI) to its work. Rather than simply teaching AI technology, the program focuses on strengthening practical skills by having employees create outputs they can use directly in the workplace.
Fubon Hyundai Life Insurance said on the 31st that it has been running 'AI Vibe Coding training' for employees since the 19th and will continue through September.
The program includes employees at various levels, from CEO Lee Jae-won to executives, department heads, and frontline staff. A key feature is its focus on using AI-based coding tools to improve inefficiencies in daily work and identify new ways of working.
Vibe Coding is a method in which users describe the function or idea they want in natural language, rather than writing programming code directly, and generative AI creates the code based on that input. Its usefulness is growing because even employees with limited development knowledge can use AI to build tools or services needed for their work.
Fubon Hyundai Life Insurance has designed the training around hands-on practice rather than lecture-based theory. Employees are given the chance to turn workplace improvement ideas into concrete outputs and experience the process of applying them to actual operations.
The company will also roll out follow-up programs to increase the use of its in-house generative AI service. This year, Fubon Hyundai Life Insurance built an internal GPT service based on open source technology and plans to hold an internal competition using it.
A Fubon Hyundai Life Insurance official said, "As AI technology advances rapidly, the ability to effectively apply it to work is becoming more important than simply knowing about new technologies." The official added, "We will continue to support employees so they can directly develop AI-based ideas for improving work and apply them in their day-to-day operations."
