KyungDong Navien Unveils Ventilation and Air-Cleaning Technology That Can Be Installed Without Ductwork

[Financial News] KyungDong Navien has unveiled a solution that allows indoor air ventilation without drilling through walls.
 According to the industry on the 31st, KyungDong Navien's "Navien Dehumidifying Ventilation System" can be installed without ductwork. A window frame kit that serves as an air passage and an integrated supply-and-exhaust diffuser make dehumidification and ventilation possible without ducts.
 A KyungDong Navien official said, "Depending on installation conditions at the construction site, installation can be completed in as little as half a day," adding, "This will expand the range of applications to existing apartment complexes and single-family homes that have been difficult to equip until now."
 Under the Rules on Facilities Standards for Buildings, ventilation systems have been mandatory in multi-unit housing with 100 or more households since 2006. Since 2020, the requirement has been expanded to multi-unit housing and mixed-use buildings with 30 or more households.
 However, multi-unit housing built before the mandate lacked ducts, making it difficult to install ventilation purifiers. KyungDong Navien's new solution preserves the benefits of the dehumidifying ventilation purifier while also enabling integrated indoor air quality management. It can also be customized for balcony extensions.
 A KyungDong Navien official said, "Through this solution, we will expand the application of dehumidifying ventilation purifiers and present new possibilities in the indoor air quality management market," adding, "We will continue to advance our air solution technologies to provide a more comfortable living environment."
