"No One Wanted Him"... Woo-suk Go Ultimately Sent Fully to the Minors

[Financial News] Woo-suk Go's rocky road to staying in Major League Baseball (MLB) continues. In the end, no other team came calling.
The Minnesota Twins officially announced on the 31st (Korean time) that Go had cleared waivers and been transferred to their Triple-A affiliate, the St. Paul Saints.
Earlier, Minnesota had designated Go for assignment on the 29th to make room on the 40-man roster for outfielder Walker Jenkins. Go then went through the waiver process as scheduled, but none of the other 29 MLB clubs showed interest in claiming him.
As a result, Go was completely removed from Minnesota's 40-man roster. However, he was not released outright and will continue pitching in the minors with St. Paul for the time being.
The snub from other teams appears to be the result of a combination of recent poor performance and off-field issues. Go made his long-awaited big-league debut after being traded from the Detroit Tigers to Minnesota last month. But the results were disappointing. He appeared in four games, posted one hold, and recorded a 9.00 ERA before being sent down to Triple-A.
He also failed to rebound in the minors. Since joining St. Paul, he has gone 2-1 in eight games, but his ERA ballooned to 12.54, underscoring his instability.
To make matters worse, an off-field setback added to his troubles. On July 25, a foreign substance was found in his glove just before he was scheduled to pitch, and he received a harsh 10-game suspension. Although the penalty was later reduced to eight games after an appeal, it dealt a painful blow to his reputation.
In the end, burdened by both poor results and the foreign substance suspension, Go failed to draw interest from any other team and will now have to mount another difficult bid to return to the majors from the minors.
