[Financial News] Hoban Construction is gaining recognition for its competitiveness after winning awards in a series of domestic and international design competitions.
According to the industry on the 31st, Hoban Construction said it won three "Winner" awards in the landscape-specialized category at the "K-Design Award 2026" and was selected for the Good Design (GD) award in the spatial and environmental design category at "GOOD DESIGN KOREA 2026."
The K-Design Award is an international design competition that evaluates overall spatial design quality and distinctiveness. GOOD DESIGN KOREA is a competition hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP).
According to the company, it submitted three works to the K-Design Award: the tea house "Floating House" and the playground facility "Golden Thread" at "Hoban Summit La Premier (Osan Segyo 2, Block A13)," as well as the playground facility "Circle Playground" at "Hwaseong Bibong Hoban Summit (Hwaseong Bibong, Block B-2)." All three won Winner awards in the landscape category.
Floating House is a water-based resting facility where water, greenery, nature, and architecture come together. It was designed with a simple, transparent form that appears to float above the water, allowing residents to experience nature more closely in their daily lives. Golden Thread is an integrated play and rest space designed around the concept of "a golden thread connecting generations and spaces."
Hoban Construction is strengthening its design competitiveness, especially in apartment landscaping and outdoor spaces, after also earning three GD marks at the 2024 GOOD DESIGN AWARD. A company official said, "We will continue expanding landscape spaces that blend naturally into residents' daily lives."
