[Financial News] Busan Bank announced on the 31st that it signed a partnership agreement on the shared use of post office counters on the 28th with Korea Post under the Ministry of Science and ICT, KFTC, and Kwangju Bank.
The agreement was designed to improve customers' access to financial services and expand convenience by jointly using the nationwide financial infrastructure operated by post offices.
Under the deal, Busan Bank customers will be able to use a range of services, including deposits, withdrawals and account inquiries, at more than 2,400 post office counters and ATMs nationwide starting in October, without paying any additional fees.
Busan Bank expects the agreement to improve customer access to financial services, as it will now be able to serve areas without branches through the post office's extensive counter network.
It also expects convenience to improve significantly for customers who need face-to-face financial services, including older people who are not familiar with digital banking.
Busan Bank President Kim Seong-ju said, "We will continue to expand financial services that improve access and convenience from the customer's perspective, and that connect regions and customers more closely."
