[Financial News] Busan Metropolitan City Government said on the 31st that it will hold the 2026 Starry Night Music Campnic at Dadaepo Beach Park on six Fridays and Saturdays from Sept. 4 to 19.
Last year's event drew more than 15,000 visitors over four days and emerged as a new boost for tourism in western Busan. This year's event is co-hosted by the city and Saha-gu, and organized by BTO.
The event will be divided into three themed plazas at Dadaepo Beach Park: Plaza 1, Sunset Itknick, a food zone; Plaza 2, Starry Night Music Campnic, a performance zone; and Plaza 3, Play Meongknick, a pet-friendly zone. Unlike other beaches in Busan, Dadaepo Beach Park features a wide flat lawn and a pine-lined trail, making it a popular spot for dog walks.
At Plaza 1, 16 booths will be set up where visitors can enjoy local food while taking in Dadaepo's beautiful sunset. After dining, they can move on to the beach and Plazas 2 and 3 to enjoy a variety of programs.
At Plaza 2, live performances featuring K-pop dance, jazz and pop music will be staged each week to brighten Busan's western nightscape. At the opening ceremony on the 4th, comedian Heo Kyung-hwan will serve as a special host, interacting with visitors and kicking off the festival. Guests can relax in camping chairs while enjoying the sea breeze and music.
The pet-friendly zone at Plaza 3 will include Meongknick Zone, where pets can play safely, as well as an obstacle course experience called Meongmeongi Sports Day and photo zones. Dog hygiene management experiences will also be offered with participation from Busan Institute of Science and Technology and Tongmyong University. On Sept. 19, a special dog wellness program called Meongnis Therapy will also be held.
Some programs at Plazas 2 and 3 will require a fee, so participants should check the details, including how to join, in advance. More information on the schedule and participation can be found on the official Visit Busan website or on the official social media channels of Starry Sea Busan.
