Paik Jong-won's Pick, Yesan Apple 'Jamrisu'... Paik's Coffee Opens Yedangho Branch

[Financial News] The BORN Korea has opened a combined store in Yesan County, South Chungcheong Province, featuring local specialty apples.
According to the industry on the 31st, The BORN Korea opened a combined store near the Yedangho Suspension Bridge, a tourist attraction in Yesan County, South Chungcheong Province. The store brings together Jamrisu, a dessert shop using Yesan apple jam, and Paik's Coffee.
The Paik's Coffee Yedangho branch covers about 360 square meters and can accommodate more than 60 people. It was designed so visitors to the Yedangho Suspension Bridge can enjoy drinks and Jamrisu, a Yesan-style dessert, in one place.
Jamrisu is a dessert inspired by Taiwan's signature snack, pineapple cake, and made with Yesan apple jam. It is a locally tailored food developed through cooperation between Yesan County and The BORN Korea from the earliest stages.
Yesan County has carried out friendly exchange programs with Jishangxiang in Taiwan, known as a major producer of rice used for pineapple cake. The BORN Korea completed the product by working with a local Taiwanese manufacturer on production equipment and recipes, then adjusting the ingredient mix and manufacturing process to suit Korean consumers' tastes.
The store also includes a space where customers can watch the production process firsthand. By installing large glass windows across the front of the manufacturing area, the company added a distinctive feature that lets visitors see how Jamrisu is made.
A The BORN Korea official said, "This Paik's Coffee Yedangho branch is highly meaningful because it brings food content using local specialties, from Yesan Market to Jamrisu, into the store and expands it." The official added, "We will continue to work to encourage consumption by actively developing menus that make use of local specialties, and to help connect that with regional tourism and economic revitalization."
