Seo Gyo-rim Stopped From Winning Three Straight Titles... Shin Da-in Pulls Off a Major Feat as the First Two-Time Straight Champion at the KG Ladies Open

Shin Da-in posted one bogey but collected nine birdies in the final fourth round of the KLPGA Tour's KG Ladies Open, which carried a total purse of 1 billion won, at Sunning Point Country Club (par 72) in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, on the 30th. She fired a scorching 8-under 64.
With a final total of 17-under 271, Shin Da-in comfortably beat runner-up Park Hye-joon, who finished at 14-under 274, by three strokes to lift the trophy. The winner's prize was 180 million won. Most notably, Shin Da-in became the first player ever to successfully defend the title in this tournament, which marked its 15th edition this year.
Last year, she claimed her first career victory in the first playoff after her tee shot rolled an astonishing 407.9 meters along the cart road. Returning to the same lucky venue one year later, she erased that old label with a dominant birdie display.



Shin Da-in, who began the final round tied for the lead, came out firing from the start. She opened with a birdie on the third hole (par 5), then added four more in a row on holes 4 (par 4), 5 (par 3), 6 (par 4), and 7 (par 4) to surge into sole possession of first place.
There was a scare on the ninth hole (par 5), where her tee shot hooked badly into the rough and cost her a one-stroke penalty. She eventually reached the green in four shots and made her first bogey. At that point, her lead had narrowed to just one stroke.
But the defending champion showed her true class through her unshakable mentality. On the 10th hole (par 4), she sank a tricky 4-meter birdie putt to bounce back, then added more birdies on holes 11 (par 4), 15 (par 4), and 17 (par 4) to effectively seal the victory.
Meanwhile, Seo Gyo-rim, the tour's breakout star who was chasing a third straight win and a fifth victory of the season, could only cut three strokes with five birdies and one double bogey on the day. She finished tied for fifth at 12-under 276. Amateur Yunseo Yang, a member of the 2026 Asian Games national team, tied for 20th at 8-under 280 and showed her limitless potential.
