Members of French Hiking Federation Experience 'K Hiking Travel' While Walking in Bukhansan

Members of the French Hiking Federation, a large walking-tour group, visited Korea and experienced the appeal of 'K Hiking Travel' while walking in Bukhansan.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, about 40 members of the federation will visit Korea in three separate groups, each on a 10-night, 11-day itinerary. Starting with Bukhansan in Seoul, they plan to walk through Hahoe Folk Village in Andong, Namsan Mountain in Gyeongju, Geumjeongsan Mountain in Busan, and Suncheon Bay to experience Korea's nature, history and culture.
On the morning of the 30th, Minister Choi met the visiting members at the Suyu Branch Office of Bukhansan National Park in Seoul, welcomed them to Korea and introduced the appeal of K Mountain Tourism. Mountaineer Um Hong-gil also joined the walk in Bukhansan, strengthening ties between the two countries.
Founded in 1947, the federation is a French walking and trekking sports group with 240,000 members. Its visit to Korea was arranged as part of the 'K Trekking Challenge' campaign promoted by the Korea Tourism Organization and the Korea National Park Service. The two agencies are jointly promoting K Hiking Travel with the goal of attracting 3 million foreign visitors to national parks by 2028.
The ministry plans to use the visit as an opportunity to promote Korea's walking-tour content overseas and strengthen the development of stay-type tourism products linked to local natural and cultural resources.
