[Financial News] A consortium of LOTTE Engineering & Construction and Hyundai Engineering and Construction has secured the construction rights for the public redevelopment project in the Chunghun area of Anyang-si, Gyeonggi Province. The project is worth 1.4278 trillion won, marking LOTTE Engineering & Construction's first win in a public urban redevelopment project.
The association for the public redevelopment project in the Chunghun area held a general meeting of members on the 29th in the main auditorium of Anyang City Hall and selected the LOTTE Engineering & Construction-Hyundai Engineering and Construction consortium as the builder. The project site covers the area around 768-6 Chunghun-dong, Manan District, Anyang-si. It will include 19 apartment buildings, ranging from four basement levels to up to 49 stories above ground, with 3,856 units and supporting welfare facilities.
According to Anyang-si's redevelopment project status, the district will be reorganized from the existing 3,114 units into a complex of 3,856 units, including 3,119 for sale and 737 rental units. The project area spans 141,470 square meters and includes 479 land parcels and 452 buildings. Through public redevelopment, the project aims to improve aging residential areas while expanding housing supply.
The consortium proposed 'TRE VISTA' as the complex name. The design reflects a 49-story skyline that takes into account views of Anyangcheon and Surisan, along with a sunken garden, a large plaza, and a 4.5-kilometer themed walking trail. A sky lounge will be built on the 32nd floor.
Seoksu Elementary School, Anyang Middle School, and Chunghun High School are within walking distance, and residents can also access Seoul Subway Line 1, Gwangmyeong Station, and Gwangmyeong General Terminal. Following this win, LOTTE Engineering & Construction plans to expand its related business by assigning dedicated staff to projects such as the urban public housing complex project near Yaksu Station and the housing redevelopment-type public redevelopment project in Zone 9 of Myeonmok.
A LOTTE Engineering & Construction official said, "We proposed a specialized design that combines the construction expertise of both companies," adding, "We will do our utmost to move the project forward so that we can create a landmark large-scale complex that represents Anyang."
