Israel Warns of Airstrikes if Iran Resumes Nuclear and Ballistic Missile Development

[Financial News] Israel has warned that it will resume attacks if Iran tries to restart its nuclear program or ballistic missile development, regardless of whether a deal is reached between the United States and Iran.
On the 30th local time, Al Jazeera reported that Eli Cohen, Israel’s Energy Minister, made the remarks in an interview with local outlet Ynet when asked about the war with Iran and possible future responses.
Cohen stressed, "If Iran makes the mistake of trying to restart its nuclear program or ballistic missile program, Israel will attack it even if it has a deal with the United States."
He also claimed that Iran would already have nuclear weapons if Israel had not carried out a preemptive strike. Citing an assessment by Israeli intelligence, he said, "We believe the joint strikes by the United States and Israel have set back Iran's nuclear weapons development program by at least two years and as much as four years."
Cohen reaffirmed a hard-line stance, saying, "We have already proven our military capabilities," and vowed a strong response to any Iranian provocation or attempt to rearm.
