Soyoung Lee, nominee for minister of SMEs and Startups, says she will "devote herself to an innovative nation"

[Financial News] Soyoung Lee, nominee for minister of SMEs and Startups, said on the 30th that she would "devote herself to advancing toward an 'innovative nation' that leads to sweeping changes in the world."
Lee made the remarks public through her social media account on the same day.
She stressed that "999 out of every 1,000 companies in South Korea are SMEs and startups," adding that "8 out of every 10 workers are employed by SMEs and startups. That is why the Ministry of SMEs and Startups is a place that works while looking at the broadest front line of the Korean economy."
She added, "South Korea needs a new path for growth. Both the beginning and the end of that path can only be SMEs and startups."
Lee is a second-term lawmaker who has served as secretary for the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts of the National Assembly and the Climate, Energy, and Labor Committee. She has also worked on the Trade, Industry, Energy, SMEs and Startups Committee, building expertise across the broader SMEs and startup industry.
