J-Smart Solution Signs MOU with Tashkent Ajou University in Uzbekistan, Expands AI and Digital Twin Reach Across Central Asia

【Financial News】J-Smart Solution, a company specializing in AI, digital twin and smart factory technologies, will join hands with Tashkent Ajou University (AUT) in Uzbekistan to help spread AI and digital manufacturing infrastructure and train specialists across Central Asia.
According to J-Smart Solution on the 29th, the company recently signed an MOU with Tashkent Ajou University to strengthen joint research on advanced industrial technologies and industry-academia cooperation.
The signing ceremony was attended by key officials from both organizations, including J-Smart Solution director Lee Jang-hyun, Tashkent Ajou University President Muratov Gayrat Azatovich, and Vice President Kim Byung-kwon.
The agreement was designed to combine Korea's advanced smart manufacturing and digital technologies with Tashkent Ajou University's research capabilities. The two sides aim to jointly develop technologies tailored to Uzbekistan's local industrial environment and build an industry-academia ecosystem that can be put to practical use immediately.
Based on the MOU, the two institutions will pursue joint research and development (R&D) and education programs in advanced technology fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), digital twin, smart factory, Internet of Things (IoT), manufacturing process digitalization, and industrial monitoring and automation.
In particular, they are considering setting up a joint research center or laboratory on campus and plan to gradually expand hands-on industry-academia projects in which local students and J-Smart Solution experts participate together.
The partnership is significant because it goes beyond simple technology transfer and focuses on building solutions optimized for the Central Asian market together with local university talent.
Drawing on its accumulated know-how in MES, AI-based analytics and digital twin technologies, J-Smart Solution plans to provide students with project experience similar to real-world fieldwork as well as professional technical support.
A J-Smart Solution official said, "This partnership is a key industry-academia cooperation model that will advance Korea's smart manufacturing technologies to fit the local industrial environment in Central Asia." The official added, "We will connect research results to MVP development and field verification, and use Uzbekistan as a base to spread Korean-style smart manufacturing technologies across Central Asia."
