Artificial Intelligence (AI) is now being used in students’ study routines, from summarizing lecture materials and organizing reports to preparing for exams. Assignments can be finished faster, but simply reading answers organized by AI does not necessarily mean the content has been understood. In Part 3, we looked at how the practice of completing assignments after first seeing summaries is changing students’ reading, explanation, and critical thinking processes.

Through that process, students understand the content and rebuild it in their own language.
But the fact that an assignment has been completed is not the same as the student being able to explain what was learned. AI can help polish outlines and sentences to finish a submission, but what the student read and how the student judged the material must be checked separately.
