The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, "A special travel advisory was issued from around 9 p.m. that day for four areas in Nepal — Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Koshi Province, and Lumbini Province — where the risk of additional flooding remains a concern." It also issued a Level 1 advisory, or travel caution, for all other areas in Nepal outside the special advisory zones.
The ministry urged South Korean nationals planning to travel to the affected areas to cancel or postpone their trips.
It also asked those already staying in the region to pay special attention to their personal safety and move to safer areas unless travel is absolutely necessary.
The ministry said it will continue to closely monitor the flooding situation in Nepal and review whether further adjustments to the travel advisory are needed.
