On the 28th, iM Bank announced that it will open branches in Jeonju and Gwangju as key bases in the Honam region.
The openings are part of iM Bank's strategy to expand its sales network and pursue balanced growth nationwide. After opening the Jeonju branch in Jeonju, Jeonbuk State, on the 26th, the bank unveiled the Gwangju branch in Gwangju on the 28th.
To mark the openings of the Jeonju and Gwangju branches, iM Bank will launch a special promotional product, "The Coupon installment savings account," aimed at increasing contact with customers across the Jeolla region. The deposit offers an annual interest rate of up to 3.8%, while the installment savings account offers up to 11%.
In addition, iM Bank plans to contribute 500 million won each to the Jeonbuk Credit Guarantee Foundation and the Gwangju Credit Guarantee Foundation in September to expand financial support for small business owners and small and medium-sized enterprises in North Jeolla Province and Gwangju, both newly entered markets.
In the Jeonbuk region, iM Bank's 500 million won contribution and another 500 million won from the Jeonbuk Credit Guarantee Foundation will create a guarantee limit of 12.5 billion won. Jeonbuk State will also provide an interest subsidy benefit of 1% for three years. In the Gwangju region, a 500 million won contribution to the Gwangju Credit Guarantee Foundation will establish a total guarantee limit of 6.25 billion won.
Through this agreement, iM Bank aims to ease the financial burden on small business owners and SMEs in newly entered regions and continue expanding win-win finance that grows together with local communities.
Kang Jeong-hoon, president of iM Bank, said, "The opening of the Jeonju and Gwangju branches will be an important opportunity to broaden our contact with customers in the Honam region. Through on-site finance and warm finance, iM Bank will grow together with customers in Honam."
Meanwhile, after converting into a commercial bank, iM Bank has expanded its bases into Gangwon State and the Chungcheong region, and with the opening of the Jeonju and Gwangju branches, it is strengthening its foundation as a nationwide bank.
