IPARK Hyundai Development Company Creates 'Symphony Classroom Forest' at Seoul Sinmok Elementary School, Continues Social Contribution Efforts

[Financial News] IPARK Hyundai Development Company held an opening ceremony for the Symphony Classroom Forest at Seoul Sinmok Elementary School in Yangcheon District, Seoul. The Symphony Classroom Forest is a social contribution program that creates eco-friendly spaces by using plants in school classrooms and unused areas.
On the 28th, IPARK Hyundai Development Company said that the ceremony was attended by Song Chung-geun, head of the Urban Redevelopment Sales Team; Jeong Gwang-jae, head of the Seoul Office of the Urban Redevelopment Sales Team; Lee Yeon-seung, principal of Seoul Sinmok Elementary School; and Jang Seong-gye, head of Good Neighbors' headquarters. The Symphony Classroom Forest is a social contribution program created in partnership with Good Neighbors to improve environmental awareness among future generations and build a more pleasant educational environment.
The Symphony Classroom Forest established at Seoul Sinmok Elementary School will operate as an experiential learning space where students directly manage the area and take part in environmental protection activities. The school plans to form a group of students called the Children's Forest Guardians and have them regularly carry out tasks such as maintaining the classroom forest, inspecting facility safety, and cleaning up the school grounds.
IPARK Hyundai Development Company said it aims not only to create eco-friendly spaces, but also to encourage ongoing student participation. The company said the goal is to raise interest in environmental protection by allowing students to propose ideas during the creation process and take part in later management as well.
The Symphony Classroom Forest was first introduced in August 2024 at Seoul Seongrowon in Dongjak District, Seoul. At the time, children participating as Children's Forest Guardians suggested ideas during the creation process, and those ideas were reflected in the actual space, drawing strong interest and positive responses.
An official from IPARK Hyundai Development Company said, "It is meaningful because, rather than a company unilaterally creating and providing a space, we are building a place together with children that they want.
" The official added, "We hope the Symphony Classroom Forest at Seoul Sinmok Elementary School will continue to serve as a space where children can experience nature up close and learn the importance of the environment.
" Meanwhile, IPARK Hyundai Development Company continues its social contribution activities in various fields, including education, the environment, and housing, to promote mutual growth with local communities.
It is also expanding sustainable social contribution efforts with the community, including by signing a business agreement with Good Neighbors in 2024.
