TWICE's Nayeon, 30, Becomes Owner of a 9.5 Billion Won Building in Cheongdam-dong; Mortgage Set at 10.2 Billion Won

[Financial News] Nayeon of the group TWICE, whose real name is Im Na-yeon and who is 30, bought a plot of land and a building in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, for 9.5 billion won.
According to Chosun Biz on the 28th, Nayeon purchased the land and building in Cheongdam-dong on May 3 for 9.5 billion won. The ownership transfer registration was completed on the 24th.
The registry shows that a mortgage was placed on the property with a maximum claim amount of 10.2 billion won.
The property consists of an aging building and lot with one basement level and two floors above ground. The building was expanded in 2010, and its total floor area is about 218 square meters.
Based on the land area, the purchase price is estimated to have exceeded 150 million won per 3.3 square meters.
The real estate industry believes Nayeon bought the property with an eye on land value and future redevelopment rather than rental income.
The lot sits on a corner where two roads meet, making it well suited for redevelopment into an office building or commercial space.
Another factor seen as boosting its development potential is that the building's use was recently changed from residential and neighborhood facilities to all neighborhood facilities.
Nayeon previously bought one 128-square-meter unit at the high-end Brighton N40 apartment complex in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam District, in 2024 for about 3.9 billion won.
Five days after signing the purchase contract, she leased the unit to a tenant on a jeonse deposit of 2.8 billion won and did not set up a mortgage.
Brighton N40, which has four basement levels and 10 floors above ground across five buildings with 148 households, is known to be owned by broadcaster Yoo Jae-suk, Seventeen's Hoshi, Infinite's L, and actress Oh Yeon-seo, among others.
