[Financial News] Nonghyup Bank's mobile ID service has been recognized for its reliability.
On the 28th, Nonghyup Bank said that its financial platform, NH Allone Bank, became the first in the financial sector to receive Information Security and Personal Information Protection Management System Certification (ISMS-P) for its mobile ID service.
ISMS-P is a certification system that comprehensively reviews the adequacy of management systems for information security and personal information protection. The Financial Security Institute examines whether access control, authentication, authority management, encryption, system operation security and personal information protection measures meet certification standards. Through the ISMS-P certification, Nonghyup Bank has confirmed the stability and reliability of the information security and personal information protection management system for the NH Allone Bank mobile ID service.
Jung Tae-young, vice president in charge of information security at Nonghyup Bank, said, "Through the first ISMS-P certification in the financial sector, we have further strengthened the safety and reliability of the NH Allone Bank mobile ID service." He added, "Going forward, we will expand services that lower barriers for customers, such as support for all device types, QR issuance and a mobile disability registration card, and build customer-centered digital financial services that go beyond security and convenience to also practice inclusive finance."
Nonghyup Bank is also working to improve customer convenience while strengthening the security of its mobile ID service. In March, it expanded the service to all device types, including Samsung Electronics, Apple Inc., Google Experience Center and Xiaomi. Earlier this month, it also introduced a QR code-based mobile ID issuance service available at Administrative Welfare Centers and Driver's License Test Centers. In addition, the NH Allone Bank app supports the use of mobile resident registration cards, driver's licenses, national veterans registration cards, Residence Cards and disability registration cards at financial institutions, hospitals and public agencies just like physical ID cards.
Meanwhile, Nonghyup Bank became the first commercial bank this year to introduce a mobile disability registration card service. The mobile disability registration card is a digital ID that the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW) began issuing in January, and it has the same legal effect as the physical card. Customers can receive the mobile disability registration card directly through NH Allone Bank. Nonghyup Bank plans to continue leading efforts to practice inclusive finance by improving accessibility for digitally vulnerable groups.
