[Financial News] Toss Bank's foreign currency savings service is drawing strong interest from users.
On the 28th, Toss Bank said foreign currency is being saved 119 times per minute through its foreign currency savings service. The figure was based on an analysis of deposits made over the past month across all users of the service, including Regular Savings, Save Interest in Dollars, and Foreign Currency Piggy Bank.
Toss Bank said, "Users' behavior toward foreign exchange services is changing," adding, "Customers who used to think about currency exchange only when exchange rates moved sharply are now changing their habits and steadily building foreign currency assets in their daily lives."
The average daily number of deposits into 'Foreign Currency Piggy Bank,' an automatic foreign currency deposit product launched on the 30th of last month, rose more than sixfold in its fourth week compared with its first week.
'Regular Savings,' which buys foreign currency at set intervals, has maintained a monthly usage rate above 80% since launch. 'Save Interest in Dollars,' which automatically converts won-denominated interest into dollars for saving, also has about 350,000 active users.
Toss Bank plans to continuously monitor these customer usage trends and further improve its products and services. The goal is to establish foreign exchange management as a daily asset-management habit.
