Pacific Links Korea Says It Will Expand Opportunities for Korean Junior Players to Go Global

[Financial News] Pacific Links Korea, a global premium golf platform company led by CEO Jang Ok-young, is taking the lead in helping promising junior golfers in Korea expand their path to the world stage.
Pacific Links Korea said on the 28th that the 'AJGA-PacificLinks Korea Junior Championship' it sponsored came to a successful close at Monster Golf Club in Monticello, Sullivan County, State of New York.
The event was organized in connection with the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) to give promising Korean players a chance to gain real tournament experience on the U.S. junior golf stage.
The main event was held over three days, from the 25th to the 27th, local time in the United States.
A total of 132 players competed from seven countries, including South Korea, the United States, Canada, China, India, Japan and Mexico. Among them were 28 players from New York and 15 players who had previously won AJGA events.
As the first AJGA event held at Monster Golf Club, the tournament was played over 54 holes of stroke play across three rounds. Based on the results of the first 36 holes in rounds one and two, the top 50 percent advanced to the final round and continued the race for the title.
In the boys' division, Jay Harrison took the title with an 11-under-par 205 total, posting rounds of 69, 69 and 67. He secured his first AJGA victory after firing a 5-under 67 in the final round.
The girls' title went to Jessica (Minjung) Kim. She finished tied with Evelyn Ma at 4-under-par 212, with rounds of 69, 71 and 72, then won in a playoff to capture her first AJGA title as well.
Pacific Links Korea supported the participation of promising Korean players in this tournament.
For the players, it was an opportunity to leave familiar domestic courses behind, compete against peers from other countries in the United States and experience AJGA's competitive environment and tournament operations firsthand.
For this event, Pacific Links Korea supported the participation of five junior players from Korea. They included Yoon Byung-chan, 16, who already holds a full AJGA card through IJGA, and Ryu Tae-oh, 15, winner of the first round of the 2026 AJGA IPS Kim Hyung-sung Junior Tournament, as well as three players who competed on the U.S. stage with sponsor exemption entries.
Among them, Yoon Byung-chan, 16, tied for seventh in the boys' division with an even-par 216 total, posting rounds of 73, 74 and 69. He delivered his best score of the three days and climbed up the leaderboard.
Pacific Links Korea has been working with AJGA to steadily support Korean junior players seeking opportunities on the U.S. stage.
The AJGA International Pathway Series (IPS) held in Korea serves as the link. Based on their results in domestic tournaments, promising players are given opportunities to compete in regular AJGA events, allowing them to gain experience in the United States.
