54 New Appointments in Jeju Education for September, Including Principals, Vice Principals and Specialists

[Financial News, Jeju = Reporter Jeong Yong-bok] Fifty-four education specialists, principals and vice principals who will lead Jeju Education will take on new posts effective Sept. 1. The Jeju Provincial Office of Education urged them to strengthen student-centered education and cooperation across organizations in schools and educational administration.
According to the Jeju Special Self-Governing Provincial Office of Education on the 28th, an appointment ceremony was held the previous day in the office's conference room for 54 education specialists, principals and vice principals who were promoted or transferred effective Sept. 1.
The personnel changes reflect the assignment of new roles to principals and vice principals responsible for school management, as well as education specialists who connect education policy with the field.
The education officials who received their appointment letters said they would work to drive change in Jeju Education by putting student-centered education into practice and building respect and solidarity among school members.
Go Ui-sook, superintendent of education of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, asked the newly appointed officials to carry out their responsibilities and mission in schools and educational administration.
Go said, "When you work with sincerity, believing that you are the main actors in Jeju Education, students, teachers, parents and residents can all be respected as the main actors of Jeju Education." She added, "Please fulfill your responsibilities and mission in your own place and realize 'Jeju Education that grows together.'"
The Jeju Provincial Office of Education plans to use this personnel move as an opportunity to better support educational activities at schools, strengthen links with educational administration, and expand a culture of education in which students, teachers and parents all take part.
