[Financial News] YK Law Firm announced on the 28th that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Realty Care Law LLP, a local law firm based in the Korean-Canadian community in Canada. The signing ceremony was held on the 14th at Realty Care Law's office in Toronto, Canada.
The two firms agreed to jointly respond to cross-border legal needs by linking legal services in real estate, taxation, wills, and inheritance. For Koreans living in Canada who own real estate or inherited assets in Korea, the firms will coordinate support through legal experts in both countries when legal review is needed for the sale or disposal of domestic assets, or for inheritance and will procedures.
Realty Care Law LLP is a Canadian law firm that focuses on real estate legal services and has about 200 specialists in that field. It also handles taxation, immigration, inheritance, finance, and investment.
The scope of cooperation will not be limited to individual matters. The two firms also plan to expand collaboration to corporate needs, including legal review required for Korean companies investing in Canada and carrying out local business operations.
Richard Cho, managing attorney at Realty Care Law LLP, said, "Koreans in Canada can now receive more stable legal support when maintaining or disposing of assets they hold in Korea."
Kim In-joong, head of YK's real estate development center, said, "When starting a business or making investments overseas, it is important to accurately understand local laws and conditions, while also working with a trustworthy partner." He added, "We will expand our services not only to legal support for Korean residents in Canada, but also to companies and individuals pursuing investment and business opportunities in both countries."
