[Financial News] Polaris Office said it has obtained the top-tier Good Software Certification (GS Certification) for its mobile digital note solution, 'Polanote (Polanotes V1.0),' and is moving to expand into the public and Business-to-Business (B2B) markets. Polaris Office announced on the 28th that Polanote V1.0 received GS Certification Grade 1, the highest level of software quality certification, from the Korea Testing Certification Institute (KTC). Based on this, the company plans to push into the public procurement market and expand its mobile document solution business for government agencies and companies.
GS Certification is a national software quality certification system that evaluates functionality, reliability, and security based on ISO and IEC international standards.
Built on its own note format, Polanote is a mobile solution that goes beyond document viewing and annotation to provide an independent note-taking environment. Users can freely expand pages and work with a wide range of multimedia objects, including videos, images, tables, and stickers. In particular, it allows HWP documents to be opened directly and annotated without converting them to PDF. By linking with Polaris AI Handy's groupware, the solution can also apply handwriting and annotation features to approval documents and other content in a mobile environment.
To target the security-sensitive public and corporate markets, the company also applied an on-device, or stand-alone, approach. Without connecting to an external server, it handles document rendering and key functions inside the device, reducing server dependence. As a result, it can be used by public institutions operating closed networks and in field environments with limited connectivity.
Polaris Office plans to expand the commercialization of Polanote based on more than 50 domestic companies and public institutions that have already supplied its existing mobile document solution, Polaris Viewer Plus. The company will seek to win new public and corporate customers while also upgrading products for existing clients.
It will also strengthen sales synergies with its affiliate Polaris AI Handy. The company plans to use the sales and implementation network Polaris AI Handy has built in the public institution and corporate groupware business to identify opportunities for joint sales and cross-selling. The strategy is to broaden its sales channels by combining Polaris Office's mobile document technology with Polaris AI Handy's customer touchpoints.
The company also plans to register with KONEPS, the Public Procurement Service's online procurement system. Through this, it aims to expand its supply channels into public smart administration and mobile work environments for businesses, while developing its mobile document solution into a new B2B and B2G revenue stream. In the medium to long term, it also plans to connect its on-device environment and proprietary document technology with AI services and an intelligent document ecosystem.
A Polaris Office official said, "With the top-tier GS Certification in hand, we have laid the groundwork to fully commercialize Polanote in the public and corporate markets." The official added, "We will leverage our existing Polaris Viewer Plus customers and Polaris AI Handy's public and corporate sales network to expand new customers and sales channels, and nurture our mobile document solution as a new growth engine for B2B and B2G."
