Incheon Metropolitan City Government to Inspect Cadastral Survey Work Starting in September to Protect Citizens' Property Rights

[Financial News, Incheon = Han Gap-su] Incheon Metropolitan City Government will begin on-site inspections to improve the accuracy and reliability of cadastral surveys and ensure the quality of survey results.
The city said on the 28th that it will conduct a 50-day inspection of cadastral survey work from September 1 to October 20 under the 2026 cadastral survey guidance and inspection program.
The inspection is designed to enhance the transparency and reliability of cadastral administration, which is directly linked to citizens' property rights. It will be carried out as a joint inspection involving Incheon Metropolitan City Government, 10 district and county offices, and the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority. The review will focus on the quality of cadastral survey results and the operating conditions of local cadastral survey firms.
First, the city will select 394 samples from 1,790 cadastral survey results processed over the past year and closely examine whether the results are appropriate and of sufficient quality.
It will also review in writing 31 projects subject to cadastral confirmation surveys, checking project management and whether the surveys were properly carried out.
For the 11 registered cadastral survey firms in the region, officials will visit the sites directly to inspect staffing, equipment, and office operations, while also checking whether the firms comply with the relevant registration standards.
To improve the effectiveness of the inspection, the city plans to actively reflect the results in evaluations by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and district and county administrative performance assessments, thereby strengthening accountability among the relevant agencies and companies.
