[Financial News] Shinsegae Live Shopping Inc. will introduce a Portugal travel package tailored to growing demand for long-haul trips.
According to the industry on the 28th, demand for long-distance travel is recovering as the recent stabilization of exchange rates has eased the burden of overseas travel costs. Shinsegae Live Shopping said its Sydney travel package, aired last week, exceeded its target by more than 30%.
In response, Shinsegae Live Shopping will present Hanjin Travel's nine-day, seven-night Portugal package through its premium travel program, "Golden Ticket," for two days on the 29th and 30th.
The package includes round-trip direct flights between Incheon and Lisbon on Korean Air and stays at four- and five-star hotels throughout the trip. It covers major cities including Lisbon and Porto, as well as Óbidos, Tomar and Braga, and also includes free time in Porto and Lisbon. The itinerary also features visits to Fatima Cathedral, the Convent of Christ in Tomar and a Benagil boat tour, along with opportunities to experience local cuisine.
Next month, the company plans to increase its lineup of long-haul travel products by about 20% from a year earlier.
A Shinsegae Live Shopping official said, "As the burden of exchange rates has eased somewhat recently, more customers are preparing in advance for long-haul trips to Europe and other destinations." The official added, "Through premium products arranged with Korean Air direct flights, travelers will be able to leisurely experience the many charms of Portugal."
