[Financial News] Samsung Electronics said on the 28th that it is holding an exhibition under the theme of '#PlaySamsung' at Gamescom 2026, the world's largest gaming trade show, which runs in Cologne, Germany, through the 30th local time.
Gamescom, which opened on the 26th, is the world's largest gaming exhibition, drawing 360,000 visitors last year alone. This year, about 1,500 software, hardware and game content makers are taking part, and the event is being held under the theme, 'Expect the Future.'
Samsung Electronics has set up a booth where visitors can try games in different environments for themselves, showcasing an integrated gaming ecosystem that spans PC, console and mobile gaming.
At Samsung Electronics' exhibition hall, visitors can experience games across multiple platforms through major new products, including the world's first 6K gaming monitor, the 'Odyssey G8,' the high-performance 'Samsung 9100 PRO' SSD for next-generation gaming experiences, and the 'Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra,' which takes mobile gaming to the next level.
In particular, the 'Odyssey G8,' launched in May, features a dual mode that lets users freely switch between a 6K, 165Hz ultra-high-resolution mode and a 3K, 330Hz ultra-high-refresh-rate mode depending on the game genre, providing an optimal environment for gaming.
With NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility and AMD FreeSync Premium, the monitor delivers smooth gameplay without screen tearing or stuttering even in demanding titles, allowing visitors to enjoy striking visuals and a deeply immersive experience.
