Now, on Karrot, users can simply search an address and see at a glance the experiences of residents who have lived in that building.
Karrot Real Estate, Karrot’s property service, said on the 28th that it has launched a "lived-in reviews map" that lets users check housing reviews written by actual residents on a map.
When a user searches for the address of a desired building in the "lived-in reviews" menu on Karrot Real Estate, reviews for that building appear on the map. The service supports not only apartments but also studio apartments, one-room and two-room units, and officetels.
The reviews include everyday information that is difficult to learn from standard real estate listings alone. They are based on real living experiences, with comments such as, "The sunlight is good because there is space between this building and the next one," "The building is always clean because a manager is on site," and "There are many parks near the back entrance, so it is great for going out with family to exercise." Users can also check trash separation days, nearby convenience facilities, educational environment, and more.
A filter function is also available so users can sort reviews by the housing conditions they care about most, such as convenience facilities, school districts, and noise. Users can also view "neighborhood-by-neighborhood lived-in reviews," which combine reviews from multiple buildings to show the characteristics of each area. It explains the neighborhood’s main features in intuitive terms, such as, "Many people say supermarkets, convenience stores, and cafes are clustered within walking distance, making daily life more convenient for single-person households."
A Karrot Real Estate official said, "When choosing a home, not only price and size but also the experience of people who have actually lived there becomes important decision-making information," adding, "Going forward, we will continue to enhance the service so users can explore homes and neighborhoods in a more three-dimensional way, based on Karrot’s local connection network."
